Training with Outsiders
On Saturday, Outsiders will lead a training session and trail inspection—a special opportunity to prepare for the upcoming race with the trainers that designed the trails. Participants will be divided into groups based on fitness level, and each group will have their own trainer. The groups are as follows:
Runners participating in the Kerlingarfjöll Ultra 12 km race run 5 km
Runners participating in the Kerlingarfjöll Ultra 22 km race run 15 km
Runners participating in the Kerlingarfjöll Ultra 60 km race run 22 km
To be able to tackle a running route in the best possible way, you need to be familiar with its hills, ravines, rivers, streams, terrain and all the other challenges that lie ahead. During this training session, we will run routes that lie entirely or partially along the trails run in the Kerlingarfjöll Ultra race, creating an ideal opportunity to reduce unpredictability on race day.
