April 24-26, Michelin chef Aggi Sverrisson will join us in the highlands for a pop-up at our restaurant. Aggi brings a sense of adventure to Icelandic cuisine, integrating Asian flavors as he transforms seasonal ingredients into timeless gourmet experiences. Moss was awarded its first Michelin-star in 2023 and has retained it since.

Inspired by Iceland’s landscapes
Iceland-born Aggi Sverrisson served as executive chef of London’s Michelin-starred Texture, which he led to earn a star in 2010 and retain it for a decade. In 2020, Aggi returned to Iceland, taking the Executive Chef position at Moss Restaurant. Aggi brings a sense of adventure to Moss’s ever-changing menus, integrating Asian flavors as he transforms seasonal ingredients into timeless gourmet experiences. Moss was awarded its first Michelin-star in 2023 and has retained it since.

The journey to Kerlingarfjöll
The journey being an adventure in its own right, is navigable only by specially equipped 4x4 super jeeps during this season.
The departure is from Skógarhlíð 10, Reykjavík at 09:00 on Friday and we will stop at Skjól Basecamp at 10:45. Punctuality is requested. If participants prefer to self-drive to Skjól, they can park their cars there over the weekend.
