Description

Magnificent trail that weaves through snowfields, wind sculptured sandstones, multi-coloured gorges and amazing active thermal areas, rarely seen by the general public.

The trail goes around Mænir mountain and leads us down a different route back to Highland Base. This route offers magnificent glacier views and a chance to see a truly remote area of the Kerlingarfjöll mountain range.

We will run/hike on very varied surfaces such as mud, snow, sand and gravel and oftentimes there is no visible trail. The diverse landscape will surely somewhat slow us down, not only because it can be difficult to negotiate but also because we will want to stop and marvel at the beauty of our surroundings.

What to bring

Warm clothes and socks, wind- and waterproof jacket, sturdy boots, gloves, buff, hat, and sunglasses. Water, snacks, and a light lunch.

Scheduled tours: Cancellations or changes must be made 72 hours prior to arrival. After that, the tour is non refundable.

Private tours:

• If a cancellation is received more than 10 days prior to arrival, you will receive 100% refund

• If a cancellation is received more than 6-9 days prior to arrival, you will receive 80% refund

• If a cancellation is received within 5 days of arrival, the tour is non refundable.
